This is a very unusual Arthur Simpson of Kendal Arts and Crafts carved oak chest of drawers. It has a very unusual division on the top, one presumes for his and hers personal accessories to be kept separate. Or maybe even a jug and bowl set for each. It is clearly a special commission. It has the typical Simpson carving to the edge and the Rathbone handles. It is beautifully made. The drawers are even mahogany lined for extra quality. This piece appears to be unsigned. It is in good condition. There is just one ring mark to the top which could be removed. It measures 99cm wide, 48.5cm deep and 91cm tall.
