This is a very interesting Brian Bradshaw (1923-2016) oil on board entitled Bird on Woman II dating to 1970. This work was completed in South Africa and uses a bold palette of colours. The subject of a bird perched on a naked woman was one that Brian explored quite extensively, producing a few variations. This is probably the best version that ive seen by him. The colour arrangement and composition is very sucessfull and retains your interest. A powerful piece. This piece was bought directly from Brian.
