This is a superb Arts and Crafts pottery charger made at the C.H Brannam workshop designed by Frederick Bradon, dated 1903. It depicts a stylised peacock within a mystical landscape with mushroom trees and four Baillie Scott style birds. The raised slip and sgraffito decoration is very well executed . The whole piece uses a strong and vibrant colour palette. This is a real statement piece. It is fully marked to the reverse and measures 36.8cm in diameter. There is a flake to the footrim and a couple of glaze touchins to the front surface. It is otherwise in good condition.
