This is a very interesting large Arts and Crafts unmarked beaten copper tray with grotesque mythical creatures in repousse. We cannot attribute this piece to a specific maker as it is unmarked. It could be a Smithies piece as they used circles around the edge as a border often. The grotesque repousse decoration is good quality and the tray is made from a thick gauge. Over all, it is a great quality piece which is very decorative and completely made by hand. It measures 57.5cm x 29.5cm and is in very good condition.
