This is a fantastic Brutalist painted iron abstract figural sculpture by June Barrington Ward (1922-2002). She trained at the Chelsea School of Art and widely exhibited her work during the 1960s and 1970s, before moving to Cornwall to retire and continue to sculpt. This piece is well conceived and well executed. It came from the sale of her estate, so comes with solid provenance. It is in very good condition and measures 32cm tall (36cm including the plinth). It retains the original label, attached with her initials and is in very good condition.
