This is a stunning Aesthetic Movement Minton fine quality reticulated porcelain scroll vase, dating to around 1870. This really is the finest quality porcelain that was produced in Great Britain around this time. The cloisonne decoration and gilding is superb. There is an incredibly unusual surface texturing to the pink body No time or money spared on this piece. This work is very much in the manner of Christopher Dresser, who was strongly influenced by trips to Japan and studies of objects in museums from the Orient. It really is a stunning piece. As you'll see in the photographs, there are some faint hairlines to the rim which run vertically down the creasing of the scroll. It is fully marked with the expected printed mark and measures 16cm tall and 14cm wide. This rare piece displays beautifully.
