M J Baghurst 'Decomposition' Carved Tree Root Sculpture, circa 1950s, SOLD

This is a very stylish and decorative Mid Century Modern carved tree root sculpture entitled Decomposition by M J Baghurst. It is a very strong piece and stands alone on its original wooden base. It measures 50cm tall and approximately 29cm wide. The base measures 23cm in length. It is in good condition generally but there are a couple of professionlly glued cracks where the wood has shrunk over time. A great object.
