This is a special Della Robbia of Birkenhead pottery pediment for above a door, the design attributed to Robert Anning Bell (1863-1933). This is a striking piece of British Art Pottery, very much in the Pre-Raphaelite style. It must date to either side of 1900. It is extremely well modelled and cast, as you would expect.
