This is a dynamic and large modernist Linthorpe Pottery jug, shape 376 designed and signed by Christopher Dresser. This piece has real presence with its pure form and monochrome mustard glaze. I've not had this shape before. It is fully marked to the base including the impressed facsimile signature and Henry Tooth monogram. It is in good condition apart from two faint hairlines to the rim. It measures 28cm tall. A rare example which displays excellently.
