This is a fantastic and very unusual Stanley Webb Davies (attributed) chestnut cutlery box, likely dating to between 1930 and 1950. It is a classic Webb Davies design using a familiar handle found on bedroom furniture. I've also seen this vertical locking catch before on a piece, although this one doesn't seem to catch that well to hold the lid firmly shut. It has a running diamond decoration and shaped lid. It measures 38.5cm in length, 24cm wide and 13.5cm tall.
