This is a very smart large Liberty & Co Tudric range pewter and enamel box, probably for cigars. It has an enamel landscape plaque probably by Fleetwood Varley, but is unsigned. This box shape and decoration is a known Liberty model, but this piece just has the shape numbers to the base and no Tudric marks etc. It is both decorative and functional and displays well. It is in good condition. There is no damage to the enamel. The pewter box has a small split to one corner on the front edge, which could be easily repaired. It measures 21cm x 14cm x 7cm.
