This is a fantastic and large Ruskin Pottery shape A17 vase decorated with a matt glaze and slip trailed and carved floral band. This vase must date to around 1928/29/ This decoration must be very difficult technically, which is why so few examples exist. This piece has the provenance of being part of the John Henson collection and was regarded highly enough to be included in the Ruskin Pottery book on page 128 published by Richard Dennis and written by John Henson and Paul Atterbury. It measures 28.5cm tall and is fully marked to the base. It is in very good condition.
