This is a breathtaking beaten copper Arts and Crafts beaten copper and turqoise inkwell signed by Edgar Simpson. This piece illustrates what a stunning jeweller Edgar Simpson was, the workmanship is of the highest quality. Edgar Simpson was a friend of C R Ashbee, his pieces were made in minescule numbers and signed pieces are extremely hard to find. This object really is as good as it gets for art metal from this period. A once in a lifetime find. It is in excellent untouched and original condition. A real joy.
