This is a very unusual art pottery jug made at the Castle Hedingham Pottery which was run by Edward Bingham. This ware is usually very revivalist but the form of this jug is most unusual and I've not seen it before. It has fantastic applied floral surface decoration. The handle is wonderful in design and execution and amazingly is undamaged. This piece measures 28.5cm tall. It is overall in very good condition, there are a few small nicks and tiny chips as you might expect.
