This is a most unusual mixed media abstract assemblage by Islwyn Watkins, dating to around 1960. It was purchased at his estate sale and is unsigned. This is one of his early assemblages and incorporates oil paint on board and a collage of all the materials he found. This is a strong work, the painting spills over the edge therefore showing it is intended not to have been framed. It measures 61cm x 77cm
