James Miles Ltd

This is a charming British watercolor with monogram dated 1876 depicting boys playing hide and seek amongst the stooks. It has a Fine Art Society label verso and featured in one of their exhibitions in 1969, where it was still unattributed. It is incredibly well painted with bold use of vibrant colours, it is very free in execution. The monogram appears to read ATS. Framed it measures 34cm x 42cm, the image 14.5cm x 24.5cm. It is in very good condition. A great piece.
