Carlo Manzoni Pre-Raphaelite Pottery Plate, dated 1897, SOLD

This is a stunning hand painted Arts and Crafts pottery plate by Carlo Manzoni, dated 1897. It depicts Pre-Raphaelite angels with the Tree of Life. The motto reads 'Behold the tree of the cross blooming in all seasons times and ages. The wonderful fruits of the most blessed trinity'. It is a magnificent piece and is fully marked. It measures 22.5cm in diameter and is in excellent condition.
