This is a superb and fully signed Stanley Webb Davies oak desk chair dated 1930. This is an incredibly well made chair. The lattice back has fully exposed tenon and pegged construction with fine inner edge chip carving all round. The stretcher has pyramid through tenons. The colour of the oak is good, as is the condition generally. There are a few ink splash marks to the stretcher which all adds to the character of the piece. The drop in seat frame is original, but I have had the leather strapping replaced to an extremely high standard and to exactly the same design as was there originally. This piece is fully marked. A great example.
