This is a stunning quality Arts and Crafts carved oak hanging shelf attributed firmly to Arthur Simpson of Kendal and showing influence from CFA Voysey. The carving and form of this shelf show many characteristics and motifs used on Arthur Simpsons work. The bird motif was strongly incorporated into Voyseys designs. This piece is so decorative and functional. It is in excellent condition and measures 63.5cm x 31cm x 12.5cm. It is in excellent condition.
