This is a beautiful Cotswold School ash coffee table by Alan Peters (1933-2009), made in the 1970s. Alan Peters was a master craftsman who was trained by Edward Barnsley in the 1960s. He had a fantastic knowledge of the materials he worked with. His designs were often pure and understated but showed the finest construction and maximised the materials used. The scallop shaping to the legs and the exposed construction are superb on this table. It measures 97cm in length, 53cm wide and 40cm tall. This is such a decorative and functional piece.
