This is a very interesting Minton & Co pottery vase which is dated 1877 and has incised five claw Imperial Dragon decoration wrapped around the body. This is a very decorative piece, well painted and fully marked to the base. Minton from this period is always unusual and hard to discover and always comes with the attachment of Christopher Dresser who designed for them around this time. It was a very creative studio. This piece measures 35.5cm tall and is in very good condition. There was a tiny frit to the foot invisibly and professionally restored.
