This is an unsigned bronze, very much in the manner of Renee Sintenis (1888 - 1965). The detailing in the casting of this bronze is fantastic, there is real expression in the face and whilst the detailing is minimal, there is real emphasis in the style. Although unmarked, there are many similarities in this piece and other known pieces by Sintenis. This piece dates to around the 1930s, the marble plinth measures 29cm x 13cm and the piece as a whole measures 20cm tall.
