This is a very interesting Aesthetic period Royal Worcester celadon and gilt handpainted ewer, very much conforming to the principles of Dr Christopher Dresser. The quality of the workmanship in this piece is extremely high. The wishbone form handle appears both on Dresser designs for Minton and Benham and Froud. Although there is no proven link between Christopher Dresser and Royal Worcester it is widely believed that it existed amongst Dresser scholars. This piece measures 24cm tall and is fully marked and in excellent condition.
