Burmantofts Pottery Rare Shape Split Handled Jug, circa 1880, SOLD

This is a most unusual Burmantofts faience large split handled jug with bright incised stylised floral decoration. I have not come across this shape before. It is very Aesthetic in style. It is fully marked to the base and in very good condition generally. There appears to be a feint stress line throught the base where the mark is. It measures 33.5cm tall
