This is a great Welsh landscape oil on board entitled Evening Star, dating to around 1955. This painting depicts a stylised Welsh landscape with interesting natural rockforms and solitary tree. This work is all about the colours and luminocity of the clear evening sky. He is concerned with portraying nature and his love of the countryside. This piece is unsigned but does have the original label verso. The image itself measures 65cm x 53cm and framed 79cm x 67.5cm. Provenance- Purchased directly from artist. Professionally reframed.
