This is a very strong oil and large oil on canvas by Brian Bradshaw (1923-2016) entitled Dog, Rose Bush and sunfield. It was completed while living in South African and dates from the mid to late 1960s. In this work Brian has captured the powerful light and atmosphere of the surrounding landscape, using bold colours and interlocking shapes. This is quite an unusual work for him and we believe the dog to be his own pet, hence the warm emotional feeling that the piece exudes. This is a large piece and the image measures 100cm x 75cm and framed it measures 126cm x 100cm. It is fully signed and in great condition.
