This is an incredibly fine Arts and Crafts copper and enamel lidded cauldron with a reticulated swing handle, dating to circa 1900. The repousse stylised floral decoration which has been flooded with two coloured enamel is as good as I've ever seen. It is the level of craftsmanship of that of a top quality jeweler. It is completely unmarked apart from some inked numbers to the inside of the lid, but we believe this is by a top flight maker which is clear to see. It is a very strong and distinct design and therefore as such should be possible to trace through research. It measures 16cm tall and 17cm wide and is in excellent condition.
