This is a very attractive and well made Arts and Crafts fire insert or surround with a cast gallon on the waves design. It has a very elegant stylised floral design running down the inner edge. It is apparently unmarked, but must date to around 1900/1910. It is in good condition. I cannot tell if this piece is made from brass or polished bronze. It is very crisp and very decoration. It measures 95cm tall and 51cm wide, the insert / hole is 67.5cm tall and 42.5cm wide.
