This is a stunning and very imposing patinated bronze figural group of a lion tamer 'Lion et son Dompteur'. This example is for some reason unsigned , however, this model has turned up signed before by Jean Verschneider (1875-1943). This piece must date to the 1920s or 30s. The definition and quality of casting is superb as is the colour. Such a decorative statement piece measuring 80cm tall. It is in great condition.
